How We Helped the Australian BPD Foundation Boost Engagement by 64% and Increase Donations
The Australian BPD Foundation Limited is a not-for-profit organisation whose goal is to encourage a positive culture around borderline personality disorder. The Australian not-for-profit space is highly competitive, and it’s increasingly hard to cut through the noise, especially against bigger NFPs.
We partnered with the BPD Foundation to enhance brand awareness and engagement through social media, specifically on Facebook and Instagram. To boost brand recognition, we developed a targeted social media strategy aimed at three key audiences:
- Mental health specialists
- Carers
- People affected by BPD
Working closely with the BPD Foundation team, we created a monthly content calendar that reflected their tone and brand identity. The content plan featured themes such as tips for people affected by BPD, resources for health professionals and carers, and behind-the-scenes insights. We designed custom images, captions, and hashtags for each post and established a posting cadence of two weekly updates on both Facebook and Instagram.
To maximise reach and engagement, we analysed follower activity to determine optimal posting times and scheduled the content accordingly.
At the end of the campaign, the Australian BPD Foundation Limited recorded the below year on year KPIs increases:
Facebook
Engagement + 73%
Followers Growth + 43%
Instagram
Engagement + 55%
Followers Growth + 31%
The campaign reached a total of 31,000 users in three months. The encased reach enabled the Australian BPD Foundation Limited to secure new donations. Thanks to our content plan implementation, we enabled the Australian BPD Foundation Limited to spread the message about BPD and create awareness among the target audiences.
